Three King鈥檚 Pimpama teams competed across two days at the INFQ Indoor Netball Carnival at Gold Coast Indoor Sport in Ashmore during Week 6: two Year 7 and 8 mixed teams and one Year 9 and 10 girls team.
This was the first time King鈥檚 entered mixed teams in the Year 7 and 8 competition. Both teams recorded strong wins and displayed excellent sportsmanship before meeting in the semifinal. King鈥檚 Yellow progressed to the grand final against Pacific Pines State High School and finished runner-up after a close three-point loss, while King鈥檚 Navy placed fourth.
AJ B. (Year 8) was named Player of the Grand Final after an impressive performance for King鈥檚 Yellow.
Our Year 9 and 10 girls team, made up mainly of Year 9 91制片厂s, also competed strongly throughout the carnival. Their campaign ended in a one-point semifinal loss to Helensvale, a result that reflected just how competitive the team had been.
Congratulations to every player for the teamwork, perseverance and sportsmanship shown throughout the day.
