On Monday 27 July, our Year 1 91ÖÆƬ³§s enjoyed an incredible Street Science Incursion that brought the wonder of science to life in a fun, engaging and unforgettable way.
Students were captivated by a high-energy, interactive science show that explored the exciting idea that science is all around us. Throughout the action-packed 45-minute presentation, they discovered the power of push and pull forces and how these forces help objects move. The show was filled with hands-
on demonstrations, fascinating experiments and plenty of exciting "aha" moments.
Some of the 91ÖÆƬ³§s' favourite highlights included the spectacular dry ice experiments, watching water change colours, and experiencing the impressive air bazooka in action. Their enthusiasm, curiosity and excitement were evident throughout the entire session.
Following the show, 91ÖÆƬ³§s took part in a hands-on workshop where they investigated Newton's laws of motion by building and launching their own COâ‚‚ rockets. This exciting challenge allowed them to apply their learning about forces and motion in a practical and memorable way.
The Street Science Incursion was a fantastic learning experience that combined fun, discovery and scientific thinking. Our Year 1 91ÖÆƬ³§s left inspired, amazed and eager to continue exploring the incredible world of science.
