91ÖÆƬ³§

At the beginning of the year, a group of talented 91ÖÆƬ³§s was selected to participate in a specialised portrait drawing and painting program. Their goal is to develop the skills and confidence needed to create an artwork for entry into the Young Archie Competition in 2027.

Students began by learning the fundamental techniques and processes required to create realistic, lifelike portraits. 

Through focused lessons and guided practice, they developed their understanding of proportion, shading, observation, and painting techniques.

Once these foundational skills were established, 91ÖÆƬ³§s were encouraged to reflect on the important people in their lives and select a family member or friend who has had a significant influence on them. 

Using a carefully chosen photograph as a reference, they have now begun creating detailed portrait drawings of their selected person.

The 91ÖÆƬ³§s have been delighted by their progress and are proud of how much their artistic abilities have developed. 

They often compare their current work with the first portraits they completed earlier in the program and are amazed by the improvement they can see. 

Their dedication, perseverance, and growing confidence as artists have been inspiring to witness, and we look forward to following their journey as they continue working towards the Young Archie Competition in 2027.
