King's Reedy Creek
Performing Arts
At King's Reedy Creek, Performing Arts is closely connected to our Foundational Values — Learn Passionately, Live Purposefully, Love Faithfully and Lead Diligently — and is offered through both classroom learning and co-curricular activities. Our 91ÖÆƬ³§s explore Dance, Drama and Music in a supportive environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and personal growth. Through these disciplines, 91ÖÆƬ³§s develop skills such as confidence, teamwork, empathy and leadership while pursuing their artistic passions.
School Productions and Performance Opportunities
Students have many opportunities to showcase their talents throughout the year. Students perform in musical ensembles, choirs, and productions at key school events such as Easter Fest, Carnival Day, and Christmas Concerts.

A highlight of King’s Performing Arts program is our school productions, which provide 91ÖÆƬ³§s from Primary through High School with meaningful opportunities to perform and develop their skills. In Primary, 91ÖÆƬ³§s take part in a biennial musical, designed to involve as many 91ÖÆƬ³§s as possible and give them the chance to explore a wide range of artistic skills while building confidence, creativity, and teamwork.
High School 91ÖÆƬ³§s participate in an annual major production, alternating between a full musical and original stage plays. These productions offer extensive opportunities for 91ÖÆƬ³§s to engage in all aspects of performance, including acting, singing, dancing, music, lighting, sound, costumes, props, promotion, and hospitality. Students gain valuable experience in collaboration, leadership, and teamwork while contributing to memorable school-wide events.
“At King's, Instrumental Music provides a rich and nurturing environment that inspires creativity and excellence. Our passionate and professional staff help 91ÖÆƬ³§s develop their God-given gifts, supporting growth both musically and personally. We cultivate a welcoming community through our bands, orchestras, choirs, and ensembles, where every member feels valued and connected. Above all, we seek to use our talents to honour God, and in so doing, inspire and uplift others.â€

Instrumental Music
Instrumental Music at King's Reedy Creek provides 91ÖÆƬ³§s with structured pathways that support steady growth from beginner levels through to advanced performances. Our experienced specialist teachers provide high-quality tuition across a wide range of instruments, helping 91ÖÆƬ³§s build confidence, discipline and a meaningful appreciation of music.
Year 4 Instrumental Music Program
A key feature of the King's music pathway is the compulsory Year 4 Instrumental Music Immersion Program. Each 91ÖÆƬ³§ learns one orchestral instrument from either Percussion, Woodwind, Strings or Brass, with allocations made by specialist teachers based on interest, suitability and program balance. Students participate in weekly lessons and ensemble sessions at no cost to families and are encouraged to practise regularly at home. This program builds strong musical foundations and prepares 91ÖÆƬ³§s to continue learning their instrument or explore a new one in the years that follow.

Private Lessons
Students can enrol in private Instrumental Music lessons across a wide range of instruments, including piano, voice, drums, guitar, strings, woodwind and brass. These lessons provide focused, individualised instruction that helps 91ÖÆƬ³§s progress at their own pace and develop strong technical and performance skills. Families are encouraged to supply their own instrument or arrange a hire option where applicable, as college-owned instruments are limited.
Ensembles and Performance Opportunities
King's Reedy Creek offers a broad selection of ensembles for Primary and High School 91ÖÆƬ³§s, including bands, orchestras, choirs and specialised groups. Ensembles are free to attend and available to 91ÖÆƬ³§s who have reached the required level of musicianship. Throughout the year, 91ÖÆƬ³§s contribute to key events such as Easter Fest, ANZAC services and Carnival Days, as well as dedicated instrumental evenings and external performance opportunities.
